Tip Top Adventure

Reflection IALT write a recount using descriptive words. I was able to use some descriptive words. I still need to work on using more to make my writing more interesting. I can do this by using the word bank. I need to keep working on checking that my sentences make sense.

Reflection

I was learning to read clearly to an audience. I had a little bit of expression. I need to keep working on this and also speaking loud and clear.

Learning to Tell Time

Reflection I was learning to express time on analogue clocks,digital clocks,and words. In this activity I had to tell the time with those clocks on the screen. I think I didn't achieved this activity because I need to know my time. My next steps in Learning time are to practice my time.

Persuasive Speech

My Reflection: I was learning to write, plan and present a persuasive speech. I think I achieved my success criteria because I did a lot of researching for my topic. Next time I write or present a speech I will need to work on speaking louder and using more persuasive language. I think I did well at presenting it as I was a little bit nervous.

Tapa Cloth

Reflection

I was learning about Tapa cloth. I used a shell and flowers to make my design. I used repeated patterns and coloured it 1/3brown paper, 1/3 brown dye and 1/3 black vivid. I learnt about repeating patterns. I really enjoyed this activity. Next time I need to be more careful when I am using vivid.

Hockey Skills

Reflection I was learning hockey skills. I learnt to dribble the ball. I really enjoyed passing the ball to my partner. I would really like to play next year.

Around the World Olympic

Reflection I was learning to skim and scan to find information in a non-fiction text. I found tricky to find main words to skim and scan. I learnt that Brazil river is the second in the world. I need to keep practising skimming and scanning to find information in a text.

Reflection It was tricky to describe the spider.

Reflection I was learning to measure my body parts in meters and centimetres. I found it tricky to know what size am I and to measure my height.

Reflection I was learning to do a recount about our Inquiry Launch using paragraphs. I found it easy to do the paragraphs on my own in the chrome book. next time I can put more great ideas.

I was learning to retell a story. I found it tricky to remember the story. I need to keep practicing this.

Skip counting.

Reflection It was a little bit tricky to skip count to the next number. next time I will practice my skip counting.

I was learning to design a visually attractive and clear representation of my Pepeha that reflects my learning pathway.  I am most proud of the sun because it looks beautiful.

Welcome to my Year 4 learning blog. this year I am in room 14 and my teacher is Mrs Prendergast. I enjoy playing with my scooter.  This year I am looking forward to being good at maths I hope you will enjoy my blog and leave lots of feedback.
